The Ministry of Works announced in an official post that 60% of the Jasra Junction Development Project has been completed. This is part of their ongoing efforts to ease traffic congestion and improve infrastructure. The project aims to reduce traffic pressure in the area by improving the connection between Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway, Janabiya Highway, and Budaiya Highway. A key part of the project is building a new left-turn bridge from Janabiya Highway to Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway. This is expected to help traffic flow more smoothly and support the investment environment in Salman City and nearby areas.
The one-way bridge will be 884 meters long and is expected to increase the road’s capacity by 33%. Once complete, the road will be able to handle up to 57,000 vehicles per day — offering a free-flowing route with no stops from Janabiya to Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway. This upgrade keeps up with the rapid development happening in the area. The average travel time through Jasra Junction is expected to drop by 70% once the project is done. The Ministry of Works also shared aerial shots showing fast progress on the construction.
