HH Sh Khaled Visited Isa Sports City to Review Preparations for the 3rd Asian Youth Games

HH Shaikh Khaled First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, paid a visit to Isa Sports City to review the latest preparations for the upcoming 3rd Asian Youth Games, which will take place from October 22 to 31 under the gracious patronage of HM King Hamad. During the visit, HH Sh Khaled was accompanied by HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority; HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority; Mr. Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; and Mr. Yousif Daeij, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Games.

HH Sh Khaled toured several key facilities, including the main operations center and the Isa bin Rashid Sports Halls, which will host the men’s and women’s volleyball, badminton, and kabaddi events. He was briefed by the Executive Committee on the progress of ongoing preparations, which are being carried out in line with the highest standards set by the Olympic Council of Asia. HH Sh Khaled praised the efforts of all organizing teams and committees, highlighting the importance of teamwork and dedication in ensuring Bahrain’s readiness to host this major continental sporting event. He emphasized the need to maintain a high pace of work to complete all preparations ahead of the Games.

HH Sh Khaled also expressed confidence that the newly developed and upgraded facilities at Isa Sports City will serve as a model for world-class sports infrastructure in the region. He noted that Bahrain’s ability to host such major international tournaments reflects the Kingdom’s strong organizational capabilities, commitment to sports excellence, and rich sporting legacy. HH Sh Khaled concluded by extending his appreciation to all those involved in the preparations, wishing them continued success in delivering a memorable and successful edition of the Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025.
