HRH Prince Salman Directs the Start of 7,000 Housing Services for Bahraini Citizens

Bahrain has officially begun implementing a new housing services plan following directives from HM King Hamad, aimed at speeding up housing projects and delivering 50,000 new housing units. The move also comes under the instructions of HRH Prince Salman to immediately provide 7,000 housing services to citizens. The announcement was made by HE Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing in line with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations and the 26th Anniversary of HM King Hamad’s Accession. The plan includes providing housing financing as well as handing over ownership-based housing projects across housing cities in the Kingdom.

The Minister expressed her appreciation to HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman for their continued support of Bahrain’s social housing sector, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to improving citizens’ quality of life. She also confirmed that Bahrain remains focused on delivering social housing services in line with the goals set out in the Government Programme 2023–2026. As part of the implementation process, the Ministry has started coordinating with banks and financing institutions to ensure housing funds are disbursed to eligible citizens. Meanwhile, technical and engineering teams are reviewing housing projects that are fully ready or close to completion in preparation for their handover. Lists of beneficiaries are currently being prepared, and citizens included in the plan will be contacted in phases to complete the required procedures.
