Bahrain’s Abdullah Abdulwahab Salmeen, from the Ministry of Interior’s powerlifting team, has achieved an impressive milestone on the international stage. Competing in the under-140 kg category, he secured first place in Asia, proving his strength among the best lifters in the region. Salmeen also set a new Asian record in the bench press by lifting 240 kg, marking a major highlight of his performance. His achievements didn’t stop there, he went on to win the overall champion title at the World Powerlifting Championship held in Thailand.
This win is a proud moment for Bahrain’s sports community and a big step forward for Salmeen’s powerlifting career.
