Aneesa Al Mahmood has been selected to represent Bahrain at the 2025 Asian Dressage Championships in Thailand, riding her horse Handsome (Tuschinski). One of the youngest riders at this level, she has already earned strong results across Europe and represented both Bahrain and the Middle East at major events such as CDI Hartpury and CDI Hagen. She has also shown steady progress in local competitions throughout the Netherlands, where she trains.
Aneesa hopes her journey will inspire young Middle Eastern riders by promoting proper training, strong horse–rider partnerships, and a deep commitment to horse welfare. Her passion for horses began in childhood, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics sparked her dream of pursuing dressage professionally. She trained abroad, moved to Europe in 2021, and in 2023 secured Al Fursan sponsorship, launching her international career with Handsome.
Now, as she prepares for the Asian Dressage Championships, Aneesa continues to work hard, aiming to make Bahrain proud and pave the way for future Middle Eastern riders in the sport of dressage.
