University of Bahrain Ranks 7th Globally in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

The University of Bahrain has achieved a major international milestone after ranking seventh globally in Sustainable Development Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals, in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026. The university outperformed more than 1,600 institutions worldwide and also ranked seventh among Arab universities and 23rd globally in Quality Education (SDG 4). Overall, it was placed in the 101–200 band globally, ranked 85th in Asia, 17th in the Arab world, and maintained its position as Bahrain’s top university.

Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma said the achievement reflects the university’s growing role in supporting sustainability, education, research, and community service through international partnerships.

University President Dr. Fuad Al Ansari said the results highlight the university’s contribution to global development goals. One of the initiatives supporting the ranking is a sustainability education programme developed with the UNDP and integrated into all bachelor’s degree programmes.
