7 Socially Distanced Things To Do This Weekend: March 11-13

Another weekend is here & things are getting warm

Like, actually warm. Seems like winter has basically bid us farewell – there’s still a breeze but we just KNOW that the sun’s heat is about to come in pretty strong, pretty soon… Well, at least it’s the weekend, right? There are a few socially distanced and exclusive events going on and you need to know about them, so scroll to check them out!!

Check out this pop-up restaurant in Adliya

Glitch is the newest spot in town and it’s an EXPERIENCE. The whole spot is an art installation of sorts, from their vibes to even their food. Glitch will be open this Saturday – keep an eye on their page to learn more!

Food is Culture is on again this Saturday

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ annual event, back for its second week! Last week was hosted in the museum but this weekend’s event is set in Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre, featuring sourdough baker Layal Dana with fashion designer and collage artist Amal Rafie. If you haven’t been, make sure you book your tickets, we guarantee you’ll love it!

Go on this Muharraq Food Walk

An offshoot event that goes along with the Culture Authority’s ‘Food is Culture’ program, this food tour is hosted by @thefoodiemenu.bh! You’ll get to walk all around Muharraq tasting everything it has to offer – what’s better than that?

Learn how to cook prawn machboos with this local chef

This week’s Maximize event is all about machboos. You’re gonna get to learn some cooking skills with chef Lulwa Suwaileh this Saturday, and the dish will be prawn machboos – but make it modern!!

An at-home go-to

Still, the safest thing to do is probably stay home! There’s still a lot to do though, check out our list of things to do at home from a few weeks ago for some ideas. Click HERE for the full list.
