10 Socially Distanced Things to do This Weekend: April 1-3

Okay, summer is getting closer

Which means things are getting hot. Still, when the sun goes down, you can still feel somewhat of a breeze – a pleasant one, now that the ‘dust’ has settled. We’re not sure where the sandstorm came from over the past few days, but we hope it doesn’t come back… We’ve compiled some things you should (safely and socially distanced) check out this weekend. Some art, some food and even some adventure!! Scroll below to plan your weekend:

Harbour Gate, at Bahrain Financial Harbour, is currently holding a Love & Inspire exhibition dedicated to Mother’s day! It’ll be up until the 3rd of April – so this might just be your last chance to check it out.

Don’t forget about Bahrain’s first-ever rooftop food festival

A festival in the sky… kinda. City Centre has put up Bahrain’s first ever outdoors rooftop food festival and it’s got everything we need for a good time. Did we mention they’ve got an open-air cinema?

Don’t miss the Food is Culture finale

Food is culture is back for its fifth and final week, its run this year has been spectacular with events hosted all over Bahrain’s heritage sites. This week’s location? The Pearling Path – one of the most iconic sites in Muharraq, so it’s an event not to be missed.

Visit this Japanese Exhibition at Bahrain National Museum

The exhibition is called “Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku, Japan” and is dedicated to the Tohoku region, which was hit by a tsunami in 2011. It sheds light on the important handicrafts from the region, so we know it’ll be both heartfelt and informative.

Get some ice cream from the new spot in District 1

Bahrain’s been blessed with a new ice cream shop in District 1, Janabiyah!! Five Degrees was all the hype before it even officially opened up its own spot – back when they would have pop-ups at different festivals and many collabs – now we can go straight to the source.

House Bahrain is having a Ramadan pop-up at Al Aali Mall

Okay, this is your chance to revamp your living room or majlis in time for Ramadan! House Bahrain and Pieces have a pop-up store in Al Aali Mall to get you all ready with some new furniture setups, perfect for those Ramadan nights we’re all waiting for.

WHERE: Al Aali Mall, 1st Floor

Get some free ice cream at Florencia’s new kiosk

Florencia Ice Cream has set up its newest kiosk over at Mall of Dilmunia, and you can get some free ice cream from 6pm to 9pm tomorrow!!

WHERE: Dilmunia Island

The Food Promenade is still going on

Speaking of Mall of Dilmunia, the Food Promenade and fountain light shows are still on over there! Some of our fave food vendors have set up their slots there, and there’ll be a lot of different live entertainment later in the day!

You can now get private climbing lessons at The Crag

The Crag has been all set up in Zallaq for quite some time now, and everyone’s been unleashing the adventurer in them out with it! Now, you can book your private 3 session climb over there, for you, your friends or family. Just send a WhatsApp message the following number to book: 38885655.

Book a sunset boat ride

You can book many different trips with Wejhat, one of which is this 1 hour sunset boat trip! You can book for either Friday or Saturday, right at golden hour.

Happy weekend and keep your masks ON!
