Bahrain Plans 100 New Air Routes by 2026 after Global Aviation Conference

Bahrain is set to launch 100 new air routes by 2026, building on the success of the recent Routes World 2024 conference. Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company, emphasized the conference’s importance in positioning Bahrain as a key aviation hub.

Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Mohamed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, highlighted how the event is shaping the future of global aviation. Gulf Air also announced new routes to Shanghai and Guangzhou, targeting China’s expanding tourism market in Manama. The conference attracted over 2,300 delegates from 230 airlines and 530 airports, resulting in more than 9,000 meetings among industry professionals.
