Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep sympathy and unwavering solidarity with Libya in the aftermath of the destructive floods that swept through the city of Derna.
Libya has been hit hard by Storm Daniel, and the aftermath is nothing short of tragic. This powerful storm brought rain to the northeast. Two dams collapsed in one region and swept entire neighborhoods right into the sea. More than 2,000 people are reported to have tragically lost their lives, with around 6,000 individuals still missing.
In an official statement, the ministry conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed support for the Libyan people during this challenging time.
