HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has arrived in the UAE! To lead the Bahrain delegation at the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The invitation to participate in the conference came from the President of the UAE.
Upon his arrival, HM King Hamad was warmly received by the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In a statement, King Hamad expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the invitation. And praised the UAE’s efforts and preparations to host the international conference. He emphasized the importance of addressing the urgent global challenges related to climate change. And its impact on human life, livelihood, progress, and the future. The King expressed hope that the summit would lead to innovative and fair solutions.
King Hamad also highlighted the strong and developed relations between Bahrain and the UAE, built on kinship, shared destiny, and mutual interest. He affirmed the commitment to continue enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Furthermore, King Hamad expressed sincere appreciation and thanks to the UAE and its leadership for their tangible efforts in strengthening international cooperation to address global challenges and mitigate their impact on humanity and its development. He extended his best wishes for the UAE’s success in its endeavors.
