On Friday, 20th November 2024, HM King Hamad , toured the wild areas in the Southern Governorate. During the visit, the King was shown the efforts made by the Supreme Council for the Environment to protect the environment and wildlife in these areas.
HM King Hamad visited the rare Baobab tree during his tour of Bahrain’s southern areas. He had personally ordered for the tree to be brought to the Kingdom, and thanks to efforts to preserve the environment, it has thrived and expanded.
The King praised the work done by the Supreme Council for the Environment and government agencies in protecting Bahrain’s natural spaces. He also pointed out that Bahrain’s wild areas are perfect for relaxation and vacations, especially during this season.
