HRH Prince Salman and U.S. Secretary of State Sign Historic Bahrain-U.S. Bilateral Agreement

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, had a super important meeting today with U.S. Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, during his official visit to the United States.

The big highlight of their meeting was the signing of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement. This agreement is a game-changer for Bahrain and the U.S., and even for global cooperation. It’s all about working together on defense, security, technology, trade, and investment.

Secretary Blinken was really impressed with Bahrain’s strong partnership with the U.S. in the Middle East. He said the agreement will make our armed forces work even better together and help us tackle threats as they come up.

The Secretary of State also mentioned how this agreement can open up new investment opportunities and boost trade between Bahrain and the U.S. They’ve already been doing great with the Free Trade Agreement, which has tripled trade and investment to $3 billion per year!

And there’s more! The agreement will also promote scientific and technical cooperation, especially in areas like health security and digital technology. It’s a big deal because it’s the first binding U.S. international agreement focused on trusted technologies.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also liked how the agreement isn’t just about security and defense, but also about boosting the economy and technology. They see it as a solid foundation for a new global approach. Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa made it clear that Bahrain is totally committed to strengthening the Bahrain-U.S. relationship and making the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement a big success.

A brighter future!
