HRH Prince Salman delivered Bahrain’s address at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York representing HM King Hamad. In his speech, Prince Salman emphasized the importance of global cooperation and reforming international institutions like the UN to address evolving global challenges.
He highlighted the need for immediate action on issues such as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the South China Sea. He also called for reforms to the UN Security Council and stressed Bahrain’s commitment to peace, multilateralism, and development.
He proposed further collaboration on technological advancements like AI and praised Bahrain’s new security agreement with the United States as a model for future multilateral frameworks. The Prince concluded by urging nations to unite in addressing critical global challenges for future generations.
