Art is subjective. But every artist needs to be given credit where credit is due. And Bahrain has no shortage of talented artists specializing in various mediums. So we thought we could shine a spotlight on some of these artists, in a segment called Local Artist of the Week In Spotlight. Our next feature? An Indian Book of Records Holder, Jeena Niaz.
Jeena is a watercolor and bead artist.
Local Artist in the Spotlight
Jeena recently was recently on the news and media for her commemorating the National Day by making a portrait of HM The King out of beads. The entire artwork uses 70,000 beads and is currently being exhibited at the Mall of Dilmunia. Jeena had this to say about her art:
“I convey my Bahrain National Day greetings by doing a portrait of HRH King Hamad using approximately 70000 beads”.
She also holds 6 Indian and Asian Book of records to her name too!
