Books on wheels
On account of the National Day celebrations, The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has organized a series of events among which is a super cool travelling library! One of the oldest libraries in Bahrain and the first public library in Muharraq, Al Khalifiyah Library will now be on wheels and be seen across the island! The aim of The Travelling Library is to spread the culture of reading and we think this is an amazing initiative!
Al Khalifiyah Library was established in 1954 and BACA reopened it in 2017. Cultural programs and specialized workshops are offered to the public throughout the year and it also serves as a space for readers and students to study.
The Travelling Library is located at Al Sayah in Muharraq till the 21st of December, from 3 pm till 7 pm, and after that it will be seen across the Kingdom parked at different locations! Locations and timings will be announced soon!
