Tourism at its best
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has always been on the right track when it comes to promoting tourism or restoration of cultural sites. This time around, blending technology into culture by introducing QR codes on sign boards of historical and cultural sites, is a new initiative by BACA.
This initiative is taken in order to promote international tourism as well as internal cultural tourism, and we think the idea is super creative. Upon scanning the code by a smart phone or a device, visitors can get access to information in the form of short videos or written text in both Arabic and English. This is also relevant to the current situation, as more contactless information can be provided, instead of the traditional paper means.
In the first phase of this development, 12 sites are included, A´ali East, Burial Mound Field, A´ali West Burial Mound Field, Ain Umm Al Sujur Archaeological Site, Al-Hajar Dilmun and Tylos Cemeteries, Madinat Hamad 1 Burial Mounds Field (Buri), Madinat Hamad 2 Burial Mounds Field (Karzakkan), Madinat Hamad 3 Burial, Mounds Field (Dar Kulyb), Jannusan Tylos Necropolis, The Diraz Temple, Saar Archaeological Site, A´ali Early Islamic Settlement and Shakhura Tylos Cemetries.

لوحات المواقع الثقافية في البحرين عندها رموز QR الخاصة!
السياحة في أفضل حالاتها
لطالما كانت هيئة البحرين للثقافة والآثار سباقة عندما يتعلق الأمر بالترويج للسياحة أو ترميم المواقع الثقافية. هذي المرة ، تم دمج التكنولوجيا مع الثقافة من خلال إدخال رموز QR على اللوحات التعريفية للمواقع التاريخية والثقافية ، مبادرة جديدة من BACA لترويج التراث الثقافي الثري في المملكة.
تم اتخاذ هذه المبادرة من أجل الترويج للسياحة الدولية وكذلك السياحة الثقافية الداخلية للبلد، ونعتقد أن الفكرة عبقرية للغاية. عند مسح الرمز بواسطة هاتف ذكي أو جهاز معين ، يمكن للزوار الوصول إلى المعلومات على شكل مقاطع فيديو قصيرة أو نص مكتوب باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. حاليا تستخدم هذي الوسيلة التكنلوجية التعريفية لتسهيل الوصول إلى المزيد من المعلومات اللاتلامسية ، بدلاً من الوسائل الورقية التقليدية.
في هذي المرحلة الأولى من التطوير ،تشمل المرحلة الأولى 12 موقع منهم شرق عالي، تلال المدافن ، تلال المدافن غرب عالي ، موقع عين أم السجور الأثري ، مقابر الحجر دلمون وتيلوس ، مدينة حمد 1 تلال المدافن موقع (بوري) ، مدينة حمد 2 مدافن (كرزكان) ، مدينة حمد 3 المدافن ، ميدان تلال (دار كليب) ، مقبرة جنوسان تايلوس ، معبد الدراز ، موقع سار الأثري ، مستوطنة عالي الإسلامية المبكرة ، مقابر الشاخورة تايلوس.
