Strong Relations! HM King Hamad Welcomes the Lord Mayor of London at the Al-Safriya Palace

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had a special guest at the Al-Safriya Palace today: Nicholas Lyons, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, who is currently visiting Bahrain. During the meeting, King Hamad emphasized the long-standing and robust relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, spanning over two centuries.

He praised the continuous progress in cooperation and joint efforts across various sectors, including finance, banking, economics, and investments. Both kingdoms hold a prestigious status in global financial, economic, and trade circles. King Hamad acknowledged the significant role of the private sector in strengthening financial and economic cooperation. He highlighted the importance of leveraging investment opportunities and establishing joint projects in vital sectors for mutual benefit. Referring to the recent visit of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United Kingdom, King Hamad mentioned the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed during the trip. These agreements have further expanded the avenues of cooperation between Bahrain and Britain.

The King reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the investment environment by providing necessary facilities and resources to investors and financial institutions. The country also focuses on enacting suitable legislation and developing advanced infrastructure to ensure the success of investments.
