Hold on to your seats ’cause we got some exciting news from the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Our very own Bahraini athlete, Winfred Yavi, just pulled off an epic double win, bagging not one, but two gold medals! Talk about domination!
Our Bahraini squad also rocked the mixed 4x400m relay, securing yet another gold medal. The team, consisting of speed experts Musa Isah, Kemi Adekoya, Abbas Yusuf Abbas, and Salwa Eid Naser, ripped through the competition and emerged victorious. Way to go, team Bahrain!
With these stunning victories, Bahrain’s medal count at the games has skyrocketed to a whopping 11. That’s right, we’ve got six gold medals, one silver, and four bronze medals, all earned in the thrilling world of athletics. Our Bahraini athletes are showing the world what they’re made of!
