Making the country proud
With the roaring of Tokyo Olympics, 2020, held in Japan, our Bahraini team is completely prepped and making history already. Bahrain’s Senior Men’s Handball team has defeated Japan in a Group – B clash by 32-30, in the Tokyo Olympics held today.
The Handball Team made its debut at the Olympics this year, and is the first in the country to be qualified for a team sport in any Olympics. The 16 player lineup includes Hussain Al Sayyad, Mohammed Mirza, Mohammed Abdulhussain, Ali Mirza, Mohammed Abdulredha, Hassan Al Samaheeji, Mohammed Habib Madan, Ahmed Al Maqabi, Al Eid, Bilal Basham, Mahdi Saad, Kumail Mahfoodh, Ahmed Jalal, Mohammed Habib Nasser, Hassan Mirza, Hussain Mahfoodh, and trained daily by head coach Aron Kristjansson.
The team is all set to face Egypt on August 1st.
And like we said before, we’re sure they’ll make us proud, and they truly did.

أولمبياد طوكيو 2020: البحرين تفوز على اليابان في بطولة كرة اليد للرجال
مع بدأ أولمبياد طوكيو 2020 ، الي أقيم في اليابان ، فإن فريقنا البحريني كان ولازال جاهز وصنع التاريخ بالفعل. فاز منتخب البحرين لكرة اليد رجال على اليابان في مباراة المجموعة الثانية 32-30 ، في أولمبياد طوكيو التي أقيمت اليوم.
ظهر فريق كرة اليد لأول مرة في الألعاب الأولمبية هذا العام ، وهو الأول في البلاد الذي يتأهل لرياضة جماعية في أي دورة أولمبية. تضم قائمة الـ 16 لاعباً حسين الصياد ، محمد ميرزا ، محمد عبد الحسين ، علي ميرزا ، محمد عبد الرضا ، حسن السماهجي ، محمد حبيب مدان ، أحمد المقابي ، العيد ، بلال بشام ، مهدي سعد ، كميل محفوظ ، أحمد جلال ، محمد حبيب. ناصر ، حسن ميرزا ، حسين محفوظ ، وتدربوا يوميًا على يد المدرب آرون كريستجانسون. الفريق جاهز لمواجهة مصر في الأول من أغسطس. و مثل ما قلنا من قبل ، إحنا على يقين من أنهم راح يخلونا فخورين ، وسووها فعلا.
