Bahraini director Aziz Altamimi recently led a huge wrestling event in Doha—QPW SuperSlam III—making history in the Middle East. Directing this live show was one of the toughest but most rewarding experiences of his career. Unlike movies, where multiple takes, wrestling is live and unpredictable. He had to adjust in real time to injuries, crowd reactions, and unexpected moments in the ring. He got to work with some of the biggest wrestling stars, like Mick Foley, Dolph Ziggler, and Mustafa Ali, which was a dream come true. But what made it even more special was giving local wrestlers, like Classy Ali and Psycho Shaheen, a chance to perform on a big stage. This event wasn’t just about great matches—it was about showing how wrestling is growing in the region. His journey wouldn’t have been possible without Ali Al Marafi, who supported and guided him along the way.
