History Time! Here’s How Sessions By Pomegranate Started

Sessions by Pomegranate began with the vision of Romaan Ahmed, a music lover who has always been passionate about creating experiences. From writing songs to hosting events, Romaan lived and breathed music. When he stepped into DJing, he realized something that many overlook DJing is more than just pressing play and pause. DJs have an art to share, and that spark became the seed for Sessions. Romaan didn’t build this dream alone. Together with his close friends Ghassan Barakat, Rizwan Khalid, and Anas Barakat the idea grew into something bigger. The team wanted to create a space where people could connect with music on a deeper level while giving DJs the freedom to truly express themselves.

The very first Session took place on April 1, 2025, at Biblo Café in Saar. It was an unusual start time 9 in the morning but DJ Ninel set the mood perfectly. Around 30 curious guests walked in, and by the end, they were dancing, asking questions, and leaving with smiles. That moment proved the concept had real potential. Since then, Sessions has popped up in all kinds of places from cafés and juice bars to art galleries and even embassy events. Each Session brings something new while staying true to the core values: authenticity, collaboration, and creativity. Today, Sessions by Pomegranate is more than an event. It’s a growing community that highlights the artistry of DJs, celebrates Bahrain’s creative scene, and reminds people that music is not just entertainment — it’s connection, education, and art.

What a Concept!
