Meet Bahraini designer Zahra Husain, a rising star in fashion and womenswear based in London. Recently featured in The Times New Magazine, Zahra’s approach to fashion embraces complexity and imperfection, celebrating the beauty of flaws and thoughts. Her designs encourage self-acceptance and authenticity.
After graduating from Istituto Marangoni London as a top designer, Zahra made a splash at London Fashion Week in 2022 with her graduate collection, “The Thread of Fate.” Inspired by an ancient Japanese legend, this collection tells the story of two lovers linked by an invisible red string, symbolizing a love that stays strong despite tangles and knots.
Zahra’s design style mirrors this story, using knots, tangles, and loose threads to create unique pieces. She loves working with textiles, making each piece a work of art. Her designs show the power of storytelling through fashion, turning every garment into its special narrative.
So Proud!
