Bahrain’s Pearling Path Was Listed on Time Magazine as One of the World’s Greatest Places

Bahrain’s Pearling Path just snagged a spot on Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places list, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Winding through Muharraq, this 2.2-mile path is a beautiful journey through Bahrain’s pearling history. From the beach where pearl divers once set off to historic homes and merchant houses, it’s a living museum of our cultural heritage.

Guided by pearl-like lampposts and dotted with historic markers, the path brings Bahrain’s pearling past to life. Each public square, named after different types of pearls, adds to the charm. Plus, the shady, tree-lined path with benches invites everyone to gather and play.

The visitor center, designed by Valerio Olgiati, fits perfectly in the old quarter and dives deep into our pearling history. Being named one of the World’s Greatest Places by Time Magazine is a huge honor for Bahrain and a must-visit spot for everyone!
