A woman in her 60s tried to gain legal control over her husband’s assets by claiming he had dementia, but the High Sharia Court dismissed her case. The wife, married to the man for 24 years, sought guardianship over his property, home, and pension. However, lawyer Amani Al-Ghadhawi confirmed that her claims were false. When the man’s children from his first wife found out, they stepped in to support their father. The second wife, who had no children with him, was later divorced by her husband in court. The court reviewed the case and found the man mentally capable of managing his affairs. A medical evaluation only assessed his physical health, not his mental state. Since there was no evidence proving incapacity, the court ruled against the wife’s request, ensuring the husband retained control over his assets.
