Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates are set to launch the first phase of the Single Travel Point system for air travel starting tomorrow, Tuesday. This move comes following the decision of the GCC Ministers of Interior during their 42nd meeting in Kuwait to implement the system among GCC countries. The new system allows passengers to complete all travel procedures at a single point, without having to go through multiple inspection checkpoints. It will be available on Gulf Air and Etihad Airways flights for citizens of both countries traveling from Bahrain International Airport and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.
The system aims to make travel faster, easier, and more convenient for passengers between Bahrain and the UAE.
