Bahrain Grants 6-Month Grace Period for Food Trucks to Fix Licenses and Follow the Rules

Municipal authorities in Bahrain have announced a 6-month grace period for mobile food truck owners to regularize their licenses and correct their operating status. The grace period will run from 21 June to 21 December 2026. During this period, food truck operators are required to update their permits and ensure they meet all official municipal rules and regulations. The move aims to help owners bring their businesses in line with legal requirements without facing immediate penalties.

Authorities said the step is part of efforts to organize the food truck sector and improve the overall urban environment. Operators are also urged to follow approved locations for their businesses and avoid violations related to parking or operating in unauthorized areas.

The initiative is expected to support a more structured and safe working environment for mobile food vendors while maintaining the city’s cleanliness and public order. Officials emphasized the importance of compliance to ensure smooth and sustainable operations in the future.
