In a historic win, Bahrain has secured the chance to host the 17th edition of the Arab Games in 2031, while Jordan will take the lead for the 18th edition in 2035. The exciting news was revealed during the 22nd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held in Jordan on November 21, 2024, under the leadership of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union.
Bahrain’s Olympic Committee was represented by Fajr Jassim, Director of International and Arab Relations, and Ahmed Abdulghaffar, Chief Operating Officer. Bahrain’s rising influence in the sports world, paired with its top-notch facilities, makes it the perfect place to host this prestigious event. With a rich sporting heritage and a vision for the future, Bahrain is set to make the 2031 Arab Games truly iconic.
