Bahrain’s Total Number of Public Transport Passengers Reached 945,199 in September

In September 2024, 945,199 people used Bahrain’s public buses, with over 98 million riders since 2015. The bus fleet has 140 buses on 26 routes with more than 600 daily stops. These buses are made for everyone, including people with special needs, with ramps, low floors, and priority seating for women, families, the elderly, and wheelchair users. They also have free Wi-Fi and info screens.

The Ministry of Transport & Telecom checks routes regularly to improve the service. In September, they gave out 2,962 operation cards, renewed 34 licenses, issued 5 new ones, and did 24 inspections to ensure everything was running smoothly
