HM King Hamad Attends HM Sultan Ibrahim’s Coronation in Malaysia

Big news! His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was in Kuala Lumpur for the grand installation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar as the King of Malaysia.

The event was held at the stunning Istana Negara, and King Hamad was there at the special invitation of Sultan Ibrahim himself. When King Hamad arrived at the Balai Rong Seri Hall, he was warmly welcomed by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, and the Bahraini national anthem even played. Talk about a grand entrance!

King Hamad had a heartfelt chat with Sultan Ibrahim, congratulating him and wishing him all the best in his royal duties. He expressed his hopes for Malaysia’s continued progress and prosperity, and highlighted the strong bond between Bahrain and Malaysia. King Hamad emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two nations for the benefit of their peoples.

Sultan Ibrahim was genuinely touched by King Hamad’s presence and kind words, expressing his deep appreciation. He praised the longstanding friendship between Bahrain and Malaysia and wished King Hamad and the people of Bahrain good health and prosperity.

The installation ceremony was nothing short of spectacular. It kicked off with Sultan Ibrahim and his consort making a grand entrance into the Balai Rong Seri Hall. The Holy Quran was presented to Sultan Ibrahim, followed by a welcoming speech from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Sultan Ibrahim then received the state sword, took his oath, and addressed the guests. The Malaysian national anthem played, and a 21-gun salute echoed in honor of the newly coronated monarch.

The event was attended by members of King Hamad’s official delegation, Malaysian regional sultans, senior guests, and government officials.
