His Royal Highness Prince Salman planted a tree at Gudaibiya Palace on October 26 to mark this year’s National Tree Week. HRH Prince Salman highlighted the importance of protecting the environment, increasing green spaces and encouraging community participation in tree-planting initiatives. He said these efforts support Bahrain’s environmental goals, including achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, and help address climate change. He also praised the ongoing efforts behind Bahrain’s afforestation plan and Bahrain Mangrove initiative, thanking all organisations and individuals contributing to environmental protection and sustainability.

HRH Prince Salman stressed that achieving environmental goals requires cooperation between government entities, the private sector, civil society and individuals to protect natural resources and promote greener practices.
