On the 27th night of Ramadan, Masjid Alharam witnessed an overwhelming number of worshippers and pilgrims, with a record-breaking number of 2,624,105 people. It surrounds the Kaaba, which Muslims believe is the house of Allah, and is the focal point of their prayers.
The number of worshippers and pilgrims during this night reflects the importance of this particular night in the Islamic calendar. The 27th night of Ramadan is known as Laylat al-Qadr, and it is one of the holiest nights. It is believed that on this night, the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
