Proud! Bahrain Achieves First Place Worldwide in the 2025 Microsoft Showcase Schools Program

Bahrain has achieved a major milestone in education by securing first place worldwide in the 2025 Microsoft Showcase Schools Program. The recognition comes after 130 Bahraini schools, 125 public and 5 private, were named Microsoft Technology Incubator Schools, out of 954 schools from 60 countries. This marks the highest score in the program and highlights Bahrain’s leadership in digital learning. HRH Prince Salman, the Crown Prince congratulated HM King Hamad on this achievement. He praised the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing education through innovation, technology, and digital solutions that empower both teachers and students.

Dr. Mohammed, Minister of Education, also commended the continuous support of HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman, noting that it has been key in enhancing the use of technology in schools. He highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to build a strong digital culture in both public and private education, ensuring the Kingdom stays in line with global developments. This accomplishment reflects steady progress, as Bahrain moved from third place in 2024 to first place in 2025.

The Minister also praised the dedication of educational teams and all sectors within the Ministry of Education, whose hard work helped make this international recognition possible. With this global achievement, Bahrain has strengthened its position as a leader in digital education, setting an example for countries worldwide.
