Bahrain is shining at the ISF Gymnasiade 2024, with young athletes showcasing their talent and determination. By the end of day two, Bahrain’s medal tally reached 20, including 5 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
The athletics team excelled with 7 medals:
- Gold: Raihana Ghorobah (100m), Sufin Hasmaw (400m)
- Silver: Ahmed Sabri (high jump), Laila Kamal (100m), Mohammed Al Mudhahi (para discus throw)
- Bronze: Abbas Abkar (100m), Alaa Sami (400m)
In Karate, Bahrain earned 8 medals:
- Gold: Sarah Hani – over 60kg
- Silver: Muhannad Mussa – over 70kg
- Bronze: Mohamed Ahmed Al Ahmed – over 75kg
Fawzia Al Amiri – over 55kg
Mohamed Hamid – under 55kg
Dana Mohammed Fazea – under 55kg
The boys’ team included : Abdullah Al Murbati, Mohamed Hamid, Ali Ismail, and the girl’s team included: Fawzia Al Amiri, Dana Mohammed Fazea, Sarah Hani both won bronze.
