Seef Properties has announced new updates on the redevelopment of Seef Mall – Seef District, as part of the company’s wider plan to relaunch the mall with a fresh and modern identity. The announcement was made during Cityscape Bahrain, where Ahmed Yusuf, CEO of Seef Properties, took part in one of the event’s panel discussions. Ahmed Yusuf explained that the redevelopment project is a major step forward for one of Bahrain’s most iconic commercial destinations. He said the company is moving ahead with an ambitious long-term plan that aims to strengthen the mall’s position as a preferred destination for families and visitors from inside and outside Bahrain. The project focuses on delivering a modern and integrated experience in shopping, dining, entertainment, and hospitality, while also supporting key sectors such as tourism and retail. It will also contribute to boosting value for shareholders, partners, and the wider community. He added that the development work, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, is progressing according to a carefully studied plan that ensures the mall continues operating normally throughout the process. Visitors will still be able to enjoy the mall’s services without interruption as all improvements are introduced gradually.
The redevelopment includes giving the mall a new architectural and commercial identity while preserving its long-standing reputation as one of Bahrain’s main landmarks. Work has already started with the upgrade of the jewelry zone, which is being redesigned to match the increasing demand for this sector and offer shoppers a more luxurious, world-class experience. The plan also involves updating the internal corridors, façades, restaurant and café areas, connection spaces, and shared zones. In addition, infrastructure enhancements and expanded parking areas are being introduced to keep up with rising visitor numbers and ensure easier and smoother movement throughout the mall.
