Update for you Bahraini travelers! As of December 22, Turkey has lifted the tourism requirement for Bahraini citizens and citizens from the United States, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
Now, if you’re from Bahrain, you can pack your bags and explore Turkey visa-free. The decree was published in the Official Gazette dated Dec. 23 with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s signature. Turkey previously required the foreign nationals of the six countries to obtain an e-visa for tourism and trade purposes.
The electronic visa costs 61.50 to 78.50 US dollars depending on the applicant’s nationality. Now citizens of Bahrain and the remaining 5 countries can spend up to 90 out of 180 days in Turkey without the visa paperwork!
