New Year, New Wonders!
This year, Bahrain witnessed a bunch of astronomical events from a solar eclipse to a blood moon, The Leonid Meteor Shower, The Geminids Meteor Shower, and whatnot! An absolute treat for stargazers! Say hey to the new year with bright skies, Bahrain’s skies will light up on January 3 with the Quadrantids Meteor Shower!
While it will continue till January 5, the shower will be at its strongest peak on the night of January 3-4.
You can watch and witness the event without any special equipment, all you really need is a clear sky and a lot of patience! The optimal meteor shower viewing window is around 2 am till dawn so make sure you’re at a secluded viewing spot, away from the city lights!
