The Co-founders of BioNTech stated that their work on the covid-19 vaccine is what led them to potentially find a cure. They have been working on developing a cancer vaccine for some time which was what helped them in their work on the Covid-19 vaccine, and now, their experience and work in the Covid-19 vaccine is giving back to their work on the cancer vaccine.

What now?

The company has several trials in progress to test the vaccine. The process which makes this vaccine effective is similar to the Covid-19 vaccine, which uses mRNA technology to recreate antigens that instruct the immune system on what to look for and what to attack to ward off disease. They stated that a similar approach would be used to destroy cancer cells.

Who would’ve thought that the vaccine could be ready before the end of 2030?
