Update! Bapco Refining Has Successfully Emptied the Affected Oil Tank in Sitra

Bapco Refining has good news! Things are back to normal after a recent leak at one of their oil tanks in Sitra, caused by heavy rains. The affected tank experienced a leak due to heavy rains and is now safely emptied! Ending the state of emergency with operations going back to normal on April 24, 2024.

Bapco Refining has started thoroughly evaluating the tank and is conducting maintenance work according to international standards and regulations.

In collaboration with authorities like the General Traffic Directorate and Civil Defense Affairs, Bapco Refining reopened Um Al Saad Avenue, which had been closed after the incident.

Bapco Refining expressed gratitude to government authorities, entities, and the public for their support and cooperation during this time, emphasizing the importance of observing safety procedures for everyone’s well-being.
