Leading with another first
Bahrain is officially the first nation to carry out yet another method of additional immunization to the citizens and residents of the Kingdom, by giving Pfizer booster shots to those who’ve been fully vaccinated with Sinopharm. As the National Vaccination Campaign continues, about 87% of the population has received at least one dose of an approved vaccine, and over 70% have received both doses. It’s a matter of days until the Kingdom crosses the 1 million milestone for those who’ve taken at least a single shot.
Those eligible to take the Pfizer booster shot are residents over 50 or have chronic illnesses, it’s been advised for them to take it after 6 months have passed since being fully vaccinated with Sinopharm. The BeAware app now allows you to choose a Sinopharm booster shot, however the Pfizer booster shot is recommended for the more vulnerable part of the population.
