We’re basically becoming Europe
Eithad Rail is currently focused on freight, but that’s set to change as it gears up to connect all seven Emirates of the UAE to Saudi Arabia, and eventually Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
The rail network will be the UAE’s first national freight and passenger railway, and we’re just counting the days until we get to board! Just thinking about the views has us dreaming….
Etihad has also ensured that the horns will be used only in cases of emergency, the tracks don’t have joints, and noise pollution as well as carbon emissions are lower than the alternative of 300 trucks delivering goods.

شبكة جديدة للسكك الحديدية تربط دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي قريباً
تستكمل الإمارات عملية إنشاء نظام جديد لسكك الحديد بطريقة تقليدية ليربط بين إماراتها السبع. فيما سوف يمتد قطار الاتحاد عند اكتماله لمسار بطول 1200 كلم ليربط كل الإمارات حتى الوصول للسعودية.
كما تعمل هذه الخطة طويلة الأمد بزن يكون القطار هذا جزء من شبكة سكة حديد أوسع لتربط جميع مجلس التعاون الخليجي الستة. وهي: السعودية والإمارات وقطر والبحرين والكويت وحتى سلطنة عمان.
