Bahrain Moves Families Affected by Sitra Attacks to Fully Serviced Flats in Madinat Salman

Following the recent attacks in Sitra, the Bahraini government launched an immediate emergency response to provide displaced families with a safe and dignified place to stay. Under the direction of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, affected residents were moved into fully serviced, three-bedroom seafront flats in Madinat Salman. These modern apartments come fully furnished and equipped with all essential services, ensuring that no family was left in makeshift shelters or temporary housing. Many residents have noted that the “resort-like” atmosphere and scenic views have provided a much-needed sense of peace during this difficult time. A key priority during this relocation was maintaining the strong social bonds that define the Sitra community. To achieve this, authorities intentionally placed neighbors and extended family members within the same residential towers, helping everyone feel more at home.

This sense of community support has been vital for stability, as families wait for their original properties to be repaired. Residents have expressed their gratitude for the swift action, noting that having their loved ones nearby has made the transition much easier to handle. While families are settled in Madinat Salman, the Ministry of Works is working around the clock to restore the damaged areas in Sitra. The recovery effort includes structural repairs to dozens of homes and technical upgrades to ensure they meet modern safety standards. The government has also established a compensation system to cover the cost of lost furniture, electronics, and damaged vehicles. This comprehensive plan ensures that once the repairs are finalized, families can return to their original neighborhoods with their homes fully restored and ready for use.

Ensuring Stability!
