New prophylactic treatment approved for Bahrain
Residents at the A’ali Al Shamil Centre are being treated with Regn-Cov2, an artificial prophylactic drug as protection against Covid-19. Regn-Cov2, a mix of antibodies designed to fight the coronavirus was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Prophylactic drugs are medicines that fight off diseases. They act as the first line of medical defence during the Pandemic. And with the approval of Enovid nasal spray to treat Covid-19, the fight against Covid-19 is going strong.
National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19) senior member Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani explained Bahrain’s four-pronged strategy to combat the virus: vaccines for protection, medicines to reduce the severity of infection, drugs to prevent the infection and specialised centres and medics to treat.

البحرين تعزز صفوفها في التصدي لكوفيد -19
علاج وقائي جديد معتمد في البحرين
يتم علاج سكان مركز عالي الشامل باستخدام Regn-Cov2 ، وهو دواء وقائي اصطناعي للحماية ضد Covid-19. تمت الموافقة على Regn-Cov2 ، وهو مزيج من الأجسام المضادة المصممة لمحاربة فيروس كورونا من قبل إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأمريكية (FDA).
هذا الدواء الوقائي هو نوع من الأدوية التي تقاوم الأمراض و بمثابة خط الدفاع الأول الطبي أثناء الوباء. وبموافقة بخاخ Enovid الأنفي لعلاج Covid-19 ، صار لازم التصدي ل Covid-19 بشكل أقوى.
