MMA fighters from Bahrain placed second in the Europe Open MMA Championship and we’re soaring with pride. The competition, held on a national team basis, took place in Kazan, Russia.
Bahrain’s fighters in total bagged 9 medals; 6 gold and 3 silver. They were only beaten by hosts Russia. This was the second time Bahrain placed second in this competition, and it highlights the consistency the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation has taken to support the sport.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman and president of the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said, “We are proud of our champions in the Europe Open MMA Championship, as this result reflects their capabilities and potential. They mirrored the real Bahraini desire and spirit to achieve this honorable result and raise our flag high in this major championship”.

فنانين بحرينيين للدفاع عن النفس يحتلون المركز الثاني في أوروبا
احتل مقاتلي MMA من البحرين المركز الثاني في بطولة أوروبا المفتوحة للفنون القتالية المختلطة ونشعر بالفخر. أقيمت المنافسة على أساس المنتخب الوطني في كازان ، روسيا.
وحصل مقاتلي البحرين على 9 ميداليات. 6 ذهبية و 3 فضيات. تعرضوا للضرب للفوز من قبل الدولة المضيفة روسيا. كانت هذه هي المرة الثانية التي تحتل فيها البحرين المركز الثاني في هذي المسابقة، وهذا يسلط الضوء على التناسق الذي اتخذه الاتحاد البحريني لفنون القتال المختلطة لدعم هذه الرياضة.
قال النائب الأول لرئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب والرياضة ورئيس الهيئة العامة للرياضة واللجنة الأولمبية البحرينية الشيخ خالد بن حمد آل خليفة: “إحنا فخورين بأبطالنا في بطولة أوروبا المفتوحة للفنون القتالية المختلطة، حيث تعكس هذي النتيجة قدراتهم وإمكاناتهم في إظهار الرغبة والروح البحرينية الحقيقية لتحقيق هذه النتيجة المشرفة ورفع رايتنا عالياً في هذه البطولة الكبرى ”.
