One Bag at a Time by 130,000 People
The Southern Municipality director general Assem Abdullatif announced that the plastic bag disposal machines known as Sahl(Easy) have been a huge success. The machines installed at Enma Mall, Al Muntazah Store in Isa Town and Ramez Hypermarkets in Riffa and Askar since 2019 have been used by around 130,000 to dispose of plastic bags safely and responsibly.
This initiative is in accordance with the Government of Bahrain’s decision to phase out and eventually ban the use of single use plastics in the Kingdom. The Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister put forward this decision to battle the plastic scourge that is threatening not only Bahrain, but the whole world.

مبادرة البحرين العجيبة لمكافحة آفة البلاستيك تثبت نجاحها
أعلن المدير العام لبلدية جنوب العاصمة عبداللطيف، أن ماكينات التخلص من الأكياس البلاستيكية المعروفة باسم سهل، أثبتت نجاحها الكبير. تم استخدام الآلات التي تم تركيبها في إنماء مول ومتجر المنتزه في مدينة عيسى ومحلات رامز هايبرماركت في الرفاع وعسكر منذ عام 2019 من قبل حوالي 130 ألفًا للتخلص من الأكياس البلاستيكية بأمان ومسؤولية. تتماشى هذه المبادرة مع قرار حكومة البحرين بالتخلص التدريجي من استخدام البلاستيك أحادي الاستخدام في المملكة وحظره نهائيا. طرحت اللجنة التنفيذية الحكومية، برئاسة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سلمان بن حمد آل خليفة ، ولي العهد نائب القائد الأعلى النائب الأول لرئيس مجلس الوزراء ، هذا القرار لمحاربة آفة البلاستيك الي مو تهدد البحرين بس، بل تهدد العالم أجمع.
