Picture this: the Khalifa Bin Salman Port will be buzzing with activity as the new cruise ship lineup includes some big names like Windstar Cruise, Le Bougainville, Norwegian Dawn, MSC Cruise, and Adia Cruise. And that’s not all! Luxury cruise ships catering to the business class will also be making waves.
The big announcement was made at the Seatrade Cruise Europe Exhibition and Conference in Hamburg, Germany.
Dr. Nasser Qaedi, the CEO of BTEA, said, “Our involvement in Seatrade Cruise Europe has allowed us to strengthen Bahrain’s standing as a unique tourist destination. We’ve showcased our array of marine tourism attractions and the wealth of diverse experiences it offers.”
the cruise season is about to kick off in October and will sail through April 2024. Approximately 47 ships will be making a stop in Bahrain.
This strategic approach is not just about fun and games. It’s expected to bring a wave of tourists to Bahrain, doubling the tourism sector revenues and giving a major boost to the national economy.
