Getting Green: Bahrain to Plant More Than 50,000 Trees and Shrubs!

Go green

There’s a new green campaign being initiated soon in Bahrain under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) Consultative Council. The campaign called, “Forever Green” will involve planting 50,000 trees and shrubs across the green area of the island. We’re all for a greener Kingdom!

The green campaign’s first stage will involve planting trees and shrubs across 4 governorates in Bahrain on an area covering more than 70,000 square meters and more than 21,000 linear meters, which will last until March 2022. Other than planting more greenery, the campaign includes encouraging private sectors to support projects that in turn increase Kingdom’s green areas and to educate citizens and residents to help contribute to its efforts to achieving sustainable development.

A greener tomorrow!
