Guess who made a grand entrance at the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Wrestling Championships? It’s none other than His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President.
But wait, he wasn’t alone! His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the GSA Deputy Chairman, and Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa were also there. And that’s not all—Zoran Gajic, the Serbian Sports Minister, Bozidar Maljkovic, the Serbian National Olympic Committee President, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, the GSA’s CEO, and Fares Mustafa Al-Kooheji, the BOC Secretary-General, were all there, too.
HH Shaikh Khalid was super stoked to be at the opening ceremony, thanks to the official invite he received. He couldn’t help but give a shoutout to the incredible success of the ceremony. And the massive presence of sports bigwigs and wrestling associations from all around the globe.
Speaking of Serbia, HH Shaikh Khalid recognized its awesome reputation in the sports world and how it totally deserved to host such epic international championships. He wished Serbia all the luck in organizing the 2023 World Wrestling Championships and making it a smashing success!
