Another hidden gem in Bahrain
And this one has a fully traditional vibe! In case you didn’t know yet, Arad has a ‘heritage village’ where you can basically immerse yourself in a whole lot of culture, and discover all the things that made up Bahrain back in the day. It essentially pays homage to simpler times and ways of living, things we still adapt today or foods we’ll always enjoy.
Many people have toured it so far, and all of them mentioned how much it reminded them of traditional TV shows back then or old village neighborhoods – a small space that’s been utilized in an amazing way to portray Bahrain’s culture and heritage! You’d find ducks and chickens around you and see craftsmen at work in the most authentic space, where visitors can even experience that with them and learn a couple things!!
The village even has a Gergaon event happening every day during Ramadan, between 9pm to 12am! It’s open to visitors every day of the week, but you’d have to book your one hour slot to check it out. Entry is only 1BD per person, and kids under 2yo can enter for free!
One of our fave bloggers in Bahrain, Bahraini Reviews, also posted a TikTok video of his tour of the village – and that’s what had us really wanting to visit!! He praised ideas of the sort and mentioned how important it was to recognize them in Bahrain – Check out his review below:
Ramadan timings: 4-6pm and 9pm-12am

You can send a WhatsApp 66346344 for more information. Make sure you book your visit ASAP!
Stay safe & enjoy!
