In an interview with Al-Amn Magazine’s October issue, Major Ahmed Al-Saadi, the Director of the Driving Training Department, spilled the tea on some exciting developments.
The number of driving license exams in 2022 shot up by 22% compared to the previous year! And hold on, because during the first eight months of 2023, 32,259 exams were conducted.
But wait, there’s more! The department has taken several measures to shorten the waiting time for a driving license exam! Including increasing the number of examiners and the number of available appointments on the government’s electronic website for the practical exam. Driving licenses can also be obtained two months before reaching the age of 18, with the driving license exam taking place after reaching the legal age.
The increase in driving license exams is likely due to Bahrain’s growing population, more women hitting the road, and the government’s push to streamline the licensing process. It’s all about making life easier for everyone!
So if you’ve been wanting to get your driving license then now’s the time to do it! The driving license journey in Bahrain is getting smoother, with quicker access and shorter wait times.
Buckle up!
